Case Study

Context: The school's teaching staff lacked experience with generative AI tools. The goal was to introduce Gemini, demonstrate its user-friendly interface and share practical applications to enhance teaching practices and streamline workload. 

Challenges: The target audience had limited to no experience with AI and was hesitant to embrace new technologies.

Solutions: The course was designed to provide a hands-on and engaging learning experience. It begins with a user-friendly video introduction to AI, explaining its basic concepts and potential benefits. To reinforce learning, practical exercises are included to guide teachers through the process of using Gemini. The course materials were designed to be easy to understand and follow, with clear step-by-step instructions and interactive elements to enhance engagement. By emphasizing the potential benefits of using AI tools to save time, enhance teaching, and improve student outcomes, the course aims to motivate teachers to adopt these technologies in their classrooms. 

Results: The course was delivered to the staff in October 2024. A post-training survey will be used to evaluate its effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

This section highlights a few examples of the interactive and visual learning materials used in the AI Chatbots 101 course. Demonstration and application activities are incorporated throughout the course to actively engage learners.
